We work together to continually develop and implement sustainable solutions. Through Green Thread, our environmental sustainability platform, we bring innovative and efficient solutions to life. We are passionately focused on reducing the environmental impact within our operations. Here are just a few ways we work to make our campus more environmentally conscious:

Check Trayless Dining:  Did you know Dining Services has been trayless since 2011? By dining trayless, you have helped positively impact the waste stream. Dining trayless minimizes food waste, conserves energy and water, and reduces the amount of cleaning chemicals entering the waste stream.

Check Reusable To-Go Containers: Getting your meal to go from the Dining Hall? Take part in our Reusable To-Go Container program.  Ask about it in the Dining Hall.

Check Responsible Waste Management: Our locations track food consumption and waste to streamline production and reduce waste generally.

Check Hunger Coalition: Benedictine Dining is excited to cooperate with Hunger Coalition’s Skip-A-Meal Program. Hunger Coalition is a student organization founded in 1984 to serve local needy persons. An average of 400 students on campus donate the cost of a meal, which is used to produce a nutritious meal, prepared at Benedictine Dining facilities. Meals are delivered weekly, with college faculty and staff delivering when students are not on campus.
